 The Dangote Petroleum Refinery is preparing to begin the sale of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as  petrol, according to authoritative sources. This development follows a recent test-run of the product by the 650,000-barrel capacity refinery.
Industry insiders have confirmed that the product will soon be available on the market. They revealed that the Dangote Group and the government are finalizing the details for the distribution process.
A government source indicated that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) will be the sole distributor of the Dangote petrol at this stage. Efforts to streamline the sale and distribution with the Federal Government are underway.
The launch had been initially scheduled for June but faced delays due to crude oil shortages and a dispute with the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Regulatory Authority over alleged substandard diesel production.
